Pinoy_Blogfest 3.0

Last year the Pinoy_Blogfest 2.0 focuses on Social Media and the main topic in the program was Social Media for the Social Good. This year, they focus on the topic, Caught in the web: Both sides of the Digital Movement.

There was a panel of discussion where the piracy online was became the hot topic during the night because a lot of pirates are unaware of what producers go through to create content and make them available to the  public. Weighting the both sides for producer and consumer. After balancing everything we learned and understand both parties now. Thanks to Leloy Claudio, Mark Robert Dy and Jason Conanan for sharing their thoughts and point of views about this matter.

A lot of us aware of the recent development of the controversial Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

The controversial law became the talk of the town. And a lot of netizens joined in, as a sign of protest against this law.

The law signed by President Noynoy Aquino last September 12, 2012, which voted by the following lawmakers:

It was nice to meet new friends at the Manila Social Media Day 2012 held at Tea 101 in Q.C. last June 30, this day is the celebration of how Filipino's are more connected with the online world.

It aims to provide an appropriate venue for online community to meet each other. It was said that Social Medfia is for everyone and we know that it is.

Filipino Bloggers Hub Acquaintance Party

Last May 19, 2012 our blogging group, the FILIPINO BLOGGERS HUB members had a blast in our first get together called Filipino Bloggers Hub, Acquaintance Party. This simple gathering had show us that we are all united as we pledge that we will write to express and not to impress.

It was held at the Central Colleges of the Philippines who sponsored us the venue. The program was started with a national anthem and followed by the prayer songs from Eunice and Persis Flores. Then the one on one introduction of the members and blogger friends whom we followed and interact with over the internet. There was also a presentation about the history of blogging.
