The People Have Spoken: Abolish The Pork Barrel

It was started as a simple post of an ordinary person who share his opinion in his Facebok wall about the Priority Development Assistance Fun (PDAF) or most commonly known ad Pork Barrel. It was being shared by a friend, and the rest is a history.

Once again, the powers of social media today are no doubt for still having a huge influence in the nation and around the world. Since there is no recognizable group for making the call who tagged most people to an invite to go to Luneta Park, August 26, 2013, in conjunction with the National Heroes Day to show the protest against the pork barrel system in our country. Some say that it was fictitious until a day before the said date of protest, there are almost 18,000 people had already gone in the Luneta Park.

Most of us, as a taxpayer, as much as possible we wanted to know where our taxes go. Actually, it's been a long time ago debate in the Senate, and none had been punish until the scam pertaining to this has been exposed to the public on July 12, 2013 in one of the reputable broad sheets today.

It was said that the Philippine Government had defrauded some of an estimate of P10 billion throughout the scam that has been diverted to Janet Lim-Napoles and some participating members of Congress and other public officials.

Filipinos are being awakened because of this, and lots of people are started to show their concerns where their taxes go. An estimated of 400,000 people who participated in the Luneta on that day, plus the people from different cities like Cebu, Baguio, Davao, Zambuanga, Angeles, Ilo-ilo and other cities in the Philippines as well as some of Filipinos abroad for the Million People March Against Corruption.

We should fight for our taxes... We should fight for the full abolition o
